Acrylester is a difficult product to turn and this color isn't any different. The below review basically says it all. Go slow with sharp tools. I use a carbide tool to turn mine and I also put it on a Diva and it turned out gorgeous. The blank is chippy and brittle and I suggest it to only those that are experienced in turning acrylic.

I've turned this purple acrylester several times to make the Purple Diva Pen. It's absolutely beautiful - a real stunner! As always, when turning this material go slow with your tools and don't try to take too much off. I always cut my blank about 1/8" longer than tube. THEN, I drill my hole as sometimes the drill will tear out some at the bottom. THEN, I trim the blank down to the right size. This material does come off in chips from the square blank but once it's rounded it comes off in strips. REMEMBER GO SLOW AND EASY WITH YOUR TOOLS! IF YOU TRY TO HURRY WHEN WORKING WITH ACRYLESTER YOU WILL MESS THIS BLANK UP.
