The blanks I received were absolutely stunning. They drilled fine, but after sanding down the corners and mounting them on the mandrel even freshly sharpened tools caused chipping. I ended up using a file to smooth and round the blank. After it was round the chisels worked fine. I would buy them again, however, these are not my favorite to turn.

But turns out beautiful if done carefully and with patience. Easily blows out when drilling and has tiny airpockets. It's a mess when turning because you never quite get a ribbon only micro chips flying all over you.

These blanks are nice looking when finished but some have air pockets, and some with chip or shatter. Not the easiest to work with.

Difficult or impossible to drill. Even tried using water with the drill. They blow apart. At Senior Center, everyone has had a problem with this product.

This is the coolest looking acrylic I have seen yet. But it will break easy when drilling, be careful!!

THIS BLANK MADE A VERY PRETTY PEN AND I WAS ABLE TO TURN IT WITH NO PROBLEM. I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO TURNING MORE ACRYLICS AND I ALWAYS KNOW PENN STATE WILL STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS.

The molten metal pen blanks are a little harder to turn because they are acrylester, but they come out looking fantasti! Mine came to an amazing finish with the plastic finishing kit. This is sure to sell! Great Job

Will chip out if you take deep cuts. Take it slow and you will be very pleased with the out come. Finishes to a high shine. Looks great on the bullet cartridge pen.

This material turns very well and provided an outstanding pen. I used this for the lower portion of the pen and cocobolo for the upper portion...the pen was spectacular! I have had countless comments regarding the unique design!
