greatI really liked it

BeautifulThis pen blank is gorgeous after turned. My sister looked at it and exclaimed that it looked like the earth or a globe with the land and water. Acrylester is more difficult to turn than most other acrylics. When drilling you must leave undrilled blank (longer than the tube) and then cut the blank to length---no shortcuts by cutting the blank and then drilling as the blank will chip when the bit reaches the bottom of the blank. When turning, you MUST use sharp tools and a soft touch. Don't rush; take small amounts of material off at each pass. If you observe these notes, you will be rewarded with an absolutely beautiful pen that will draw attention to your work.

Broke apartI won't buy this again. I had the blank epoxied on the tube and on the lathe. I was half way finished and it started to chip. Then it broke apart and I threw it out.

acrylester blanksI found these blanks very difficult too work with. I used 5 blanks too get two good sets for a pen and pencil set. Between cracking and shattering while turning. They are very brittle even with a freshly sharpened tool. Definatley for the very advanced. One of the 2 good sets cracked on me while i was assmembling the pencil as i pressed the center sleeve into it. I have not assmebled the pen yet as im trying too think how i can prevent this blank from cracking like the pencil did. Otherwise these blanks look beautiful when finished. Deep and rich in color. In closing id just say patience is the key when turning this blank, just be aware that it still may crack when assembled. I may try 5 minute epoxy and see if that bonds the blank too the tube better than super glue and prevents cracking during assembly

blue green acrylester pen blankGreat color, easy to work with. Lots of comments on it. I have bought many in the past and will get even more.

Ocean AcrylesterAs a new pen turner,I found this product very hard to work with. Instead of peeling off like other plastics,it just chipped off. The pen blank turned out a mess. Yes I'm pretty sure my chisel was sharp, but I'll take any advise that comes along!

Blue Green Ocean AcrylesterDrill very carefully or you will lose 1/2 like we did. The care and effort is OH so worth it. Turned up a stunning sierra pen! Gorgeous finished product that was easy to work with on the lathe and sands magnificently! Just wish we lived in the states so that we could afford freight to have more sent!!!

Beautuful Blue Green OceanI put this in the middle of a teachers pen. After it was done, I took it to work and sold it that day... I will purchase more of these!!!

acrylesterThis does not turn as well as some of the other acrylics, it's very hard and easy to spall out.
