This wood turns wonderfully and makes a beautiful finished product. The price is fair as well.

I have turned all but one of the ten blanks and each came out great. They are very easy to turn, finish easily and have remarkable red grain. Works especially well with Slimline and Designer pen kits.

I just wanted to let you know that I won a Blue Ribbon First Place in the "Over 60" Woodworkers Division at the Iowa State Fair this week. The entry was a Tulipwood Roller Ball Pen. The wood, kit, and the finish were all from Penn State and was turned on a Micro Lathe also from Penn State.
