Vega Midi Duplicator - duplicates pieces to 24" Long
Our Vega Midi Duplicator is idea for your mini or midi lathe. Fashioned after their larger line of commercial duplicators, Vega reduced the size but not the utility or functionality of this duplicator.

· Duplicates original workpieces up to 2" diameter and 10" long. Accepts flat templates up to 1/8" thick.
· Large bi-directional handwheel has smooth chain driven performance.
· Includes 5/16" HSS cutter
· Spring loaded follower tension. Fine micro follower adjustment.
· Mounts to Jet, Delta and Carbatec mini lathes, swings 6" to 10".
· Optional PSI template holder (#VMIDUPT) and carbide cutter (#VMIDUPXK) available.

Got the duplicator after trying a much cheaper model which turned out to be unable to follow the profile I needed. With a bit of patience I was able to adapt the duplicator to follow the profile of a finial I need to reproduce for a historical reproduction. Once I got a feel for the duplicator it did an excellent job of accurately duplicating the first of 15 needed for the reproduction. Good product and it works well. Fit and finish are good and it looks worth the money. Operation is smooth and once you get a feel for the cutting action the finish before sanding gets better with practice. A lot of neat controls so you can limit the depth of each pass and it is very flexible in setup to adapt to your lathe. Documentation was not as stellar as the product. It could use a bit of work and an offset printer rather than a poor Xerox copy would make it look much more attractive as part of the package. All said and done it is what I needed and am finding it will be useful for many other projects.
