Although this muffler quiets the cyclone as advertised it leaks air and dust very badly. After a lot of caulk and tape was applied, it got better but still fills the shop with fine dust particles. It appears that the choice is the noise or the dust. The leaks come in the areas where the ends attach to the muffler body and in the area where the inlet and outlet collars are attached to the ends. I would have thought these would be soldered but they are not and the resulting gaps allow a lot of dust to escape. Not worth the money. It will turn your dust collector into a dust distributor.
