This is my first lathe and as a beginner, I couldn't be more pleased. I had one problem with a stripped out tool rest support and PSI exchanged it without question. Got it last Christmas (beginners beware! you will become addicted to turning). My wife says my "penmanship" has improved greatly (Get it?).

I purchased the 10" midi lath about a year and a half ago, at which time I gave my son an older cheap off brand lathe I had been using. I went to visit him about a month ago and his lathe had bitten the dust. I immediately ordered him the 10" variable speed midi lathe sinnce I had such a good experience with it. He has been delighted with the lathe and likes his as well as I like mine. The only regrete I have is that I didn't pass my lathe down to him and ordered the 12" variable speed midi lathe for myself. Great product, and a great buy for the price.
