I love this lathe its a strong well built tool and it will hold up for the test of time! The only thing I can say that I didn't like was in the kit it said it came with a dvd to show u how to get started well my kit was missing that but theres lots of learning videos on u tube so its realy no biggy! I would recomend this to anyone who enjoys a well built tool and making pens.

My 16 year old son asked for a mini lathe to make pens with after making a couple at school. The lathe is great and the starter kit was a great way to get him started turning pens. He turned all ten pens in the kit in no time, and they all look great. The lathe itself is the best,easy to use, well constructed and looks good in the shop. Would recommend this lathe and starter set for anyone looking to get started turning pens in no time! THANKS PSI

This lath has performed well in the short time I have had it, however I do have some concern over the quality of its construction as I have used it less than 20 hours and the nameplate has fallen of the front of it. I'd sent it back but don't want to spend the money it would take to ship it back.

It is a good lathe for pen turning. This may be a little picky, but the name plate and the plate which gives the speed, etc. is only glued on. First, time you touch them they will fall off.
