Description Specifications Customer Reviews Accessories

We have enhanced our panel saw system. The new system includes new and improved modular fence sections and integrated clamps that assist you in cuts as long as 116".

Use this cutting system to:
• Cut sheet goods of any length or width with cabinet making accuracy
• Duplicate any cut possible by a panel saw
• Easily cut sheet goods at an angle (impossible with a regular panel saw)
• Set up quickly and easily—just clamp down the fence, then cut!

Our portable panel saw has a special tracking system working with almost any hand-held circular saw.

How It Works

The system includes a tracking fixture that attaches to your saw plus a special fence designed to work with the fixture. The fixture mounts to the fence so that your saw will track exactly true to the fence when cutting. The tracking fixture has five heavy duty sealed ball bearings in its point contacts with the fence to reduce friction. Therefore, guiding your saw becomes effortless, easy and extremely accurate.

Other Features include:
• 2 accurate, lightweight, extruded aluminum alloy fence sections
• Cut up to 52" with each section
• Cut up to 116" with sections combined
• Does not interfere with other saw functions
• Adapts to saws with 6-1/2" to 8-1/8" blades
• Easy set up and requires little space
• Aluminum fence angle 1-1/2" x 2" x 3/16"
• Deflection 1/16" or less over 9'

Panel Saw System Includes:
• 2 64" fence sections and connectors
• 2 integrated clamp assemblies
• Ball bearing tracking fixture

The portable panel saw system works great. I now consider it a must have for working with sheets of plywood. Makes extremely accurate, straight cutting an absolute snap! It was a bit of work getting my Porter Cable saw mounted on the base but now that it is it was definitely worth the time. I very highly recommend this product!

I had the first version of the portable panel saw, but I lost it when my shop burned years ago. I have now purchased the latest version, and I can see it is much improved. The clamping system is much superior. The ability to double the length of the cutting rail is a great feature. The old system was very effective, but this newer version is very well thought out, easier to use, and more versatile. Sometimes products are changed in order to reduce the cost of production. I am pleased to say this product is built better than before.

I have used a PPS System since the early 90's. I have always had trouble clamping the straight edge. The new system solves the problem and is worth the cost of a new one.

Very nice, solidly made product. Easy to set up! Don't know how I ever managed to cut panels without it!

3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5 pretty good if you have no plane saw

Pretty easy to use, simply buy a cheaper 7-1/4" miter saw solely for it (I got Ryobi for $20 in HD). But, 1. the saw mount screws are wrong size, too small for the holes. 2. the saw mount brackets are for saw models I don't know, and use it for Ryobi saw is not ideal. 3. there are two guide bars can be connected to >100", same length and too long. I fee one can be shorter and still keep the concatenated length to be able to cut 97" plywood. 4. when you want to cut a hold say for sink top, it is not so easy because at the beginning you have no guide to use. More bearings and other guides may help you to slow down the saw vertically into board to cut a hole. 5. the tighten nuts are standard and works, not perfect and cannot be used with single hand. This kit is just a basic model. I have Ryobi 3000 table saw, yet sometimes still need this kit. Work efficiency is very low compared with a plane saw, but it works fine for me.

Took a while to line up my saw because it has a wide base (Porter Cable). Once lined up the guide works well. Heavy duty rails don't flex and base rides securely on them.

Very easy to use. Took less than 5 min. to learn and start cutting. The only complaint is that the bolts that are supplied the heads are too small and go through the barring plate, can be fixed with larger head bolts. I do like this system.

This panel saw system is easy to setup and proven to be very accurate. I did have a problem with one rail not being square. But one call to customer service and they send me another rail. Great service.

Abbreviated Review: Table Saws and panel saws are terrific for cutting sheet goods. However, these saws aren't much help away from the wood shop. PSI Woodworking has come up with an ingenious and very useful solution. The PPS-2 Portable Panel Saw System makes cutting sheet goods in a portable situation as accurate as cutting them on these more stationary saws…..the system is an absolute delight to work with. The price is decent, and the craftsmanship appears to be excellent. It is accurate, easy to position, and the clamps hold nearly any sheet goods quickly and easily. When cutting, the circular saw literally glides across the stock on bearings that ride on the L-shaped guides. All of the guesswork is taken out of the process.
