Before Assembling!

I sure wish I had seen Todd's tip of screwing the cap on before assembling the couplers. Out of 11 of these kits, I've had 2 sets of couplers ruined from the threads collapsing in on themselves. PSI has been GREAT about getting me replacements, but I'd much rather not have the problem to start with. Otherwise, love this kit.

A pleasure to work with

This kit is similar to some of the local kits sold in stores. I however really enjoyed this kit. It has a nice look to it and everything that came with it worked great. *TIP* screw on the tip to the coupler before pressing into pen. My coupler broke apart on the first one, and PSI sent me a replacement.

Tycoon Pen Starter Kit

This was a great starter package with a great price. The pens turned out great. I am just starting out with selling my work and this pen was my first sale. Looking forward to making more.

Great pen kit

Great pen kit. I just started turning pens and wanted to move up from slimlines. This was a great next step. It was nice to be able to buy the bushings and drill bits all together. I will be ordering more of these kits.

Tycoon Pen Set

I have been doing pens for over 20 years purchased from various vendors. The Tycoon pen set has to be one of the finest quality pens that I have ever done. It produces a great pen that is worth the price. Also, Penn State has been incredible with their service.

Great Kit But Be Careful!!

I agree with all previous rater's comments. Its a great kit... especially for the price. BUT be careful when assembling it. The two couplers for the lower/longer tube are plastic (with metal threads on the inside) and if too much pressure is applied when pressing them into the tube, they will crumble like an accordian. Just seat them carefully and STOP when contact is made with the tube. Penn State was very good about sending me a replacement coupler for the one I "squished". Again, nice kit!
