3/4" Replacement Cutter - CARBIDE

Here’s a complete barrel trimming system. An essential step for making a quality pen project is to square the end of your pen blanks and pen tubes prior to final pen kit assembly. Our system includes cutting shafts that will fit into a drill chuck or lathe chuck– the shaft will clean the glue from the tubes and act as a pilot for the 3/4" squaring cutter.

The complete system includes:

• 7mm, 8mm, 3/8", and 10mm pilot shafts
• 3/4" squaring cutter, allen wrench and instructions
• Sleeve adapter for #PKPARK-PCL & #PKMONT-PCL pencil kits

This carbide trimmer cuts faster and cleaner than any HSS trimmer I have used. It took me a few tries to learn you have to go easy to prevent catching and going too deep. Since those lessons were learned it has been a joy to use.

I have used my carbide cutter with no need to re-sharpen. It keeps on cutting like brand new

The carbide cutter hasn't worked as well for me as the steel one. Perhaps the four blade design of the steel is superior for my needs. The carbide cutter tends to rip the blanks apart unless the drill is moving at a VERY slow rate, almost shaving the blank. Takes much longer to use than the steel cutter.
