This insertion tool makes the placement of the brass tubes very easy. The method I used before was difficult and caused a mess with the glue. Getting the glue on your hands is not nice.
The insertion tool kept my hands clean.

The only difficulty I have is that the tool holds on to the tube so you have to hold it in place until the CA glue bonds with the tube and then you can withdraw the insertion tool without pulling out the tube as well. Use a 0000 steel wool pad or high number sandpaper to remove the CA glue from the tool.
Cheaper than others I found and comes with a handle.

After using the pen tube insertion tool I found the that the tool did not work as I had hoped. When pushing the tubes in the blanks tool would stick to tube and when removing tool it would pull tubes back out of blanks. This Is first product bought from Penn state I have had problems with.Think more work needs to be done on this preduct.

I did not think that I would need this tool, but after searching for something in the shop that was the right size and not finding anything that would work, I bought it. I use it now to insert the tubes into the blanks. Many times I get no glue on my fingers at all.
I also buy mulitple extra tubes. I use this tool to hold the tubes for sanding. All told, I think that this is a very worthwhile and useful tool for the pen maker.
