I go to Office Depot and buy the 4 pack mini refill by Forey and it has a yellow highlighter so I turn one end with yellow and the other with black and Bethlehem olive wood in the center.

It went together easy. Little pieces are a little hard to clean out.

This is an easy pen to make. It especially looks good when you use a red colored blank for the red ink end and a black blank for the black ink end. This is a great pen for your kids to give to their teacher as a gift!

very economical

This is the best and most economical way to assemble this type of pen. The kit is easy to work and modify if you see fit. Turns and assembles like any 7mm pen kit and can be sold at a very low price or donated to worthy causes with out taking a hit in the pocket.

A little more difficult than slimlines but still pretty easy to work with. The chrome hardware is striking against some of the darker woods.
