Basic Pen Making Starter Set w/#2 MT Mandrel

First time pen turner

Very nice starter kit. I had never turned a pen before and this kit and DVD made it a clear and simple process. The down side, I have already spent a bunch on buying more pen kits to turn! It can be very addictive.

A great way to get introduced to pen turning. The kit prepared me for easily moving to the next step and making pens of all styles and shapes. All instructions were easy to follow and the beginning pens were easy to make with very nice results.

A Great Way To Start

I decided to finally try pen turning along with some other small turning projects. I hadn't used a lathe for many years. The starter kit provided everything I needed to get started and the results were super. The kit was of good value to get into turning once again and specifically turning pens. I'm doing it just as a hobby with no intention of selling a finished product. It's been amazing how many friends I didn't know I had. I've yet to turn a pen that I've been able to keep for myself.

This is a great kit for beginners! The pre-cut blanks are great for letting beginners focus on learning how to use the lathe and turning tools, and the 2 part epoxy blows CA Glue out of the water any day!
