My First Mini-Turning Project.

I just submitted a review on a Segmented Letter Opener, ordered along with the Magifier Kit. Those comments also apply to this Kit. I was very pleased with all aspects of this project, namely, timely delivery of my order, completeness of all items ordered, instructions, and fit and finish of the items. The projects are now complete, and they look awesome. This is the first time I tried mini-turning, and I am hooked. I would like very much to diversify into pens and machanical pencils as well as put a recently aquired Penn State Industries Bowl chuck to work. I am hooked. Donald Piepho Geneseo, IL

Magnifying lass

This is a quality piece/kit. Real glass is used for magnification and the brass is thick and well engineered. I would/will buy a few more as my needs arise. I do wish that the handle could be in one or two pieces. When I built the segmented set (pen, letter opener and MGlass) I would built it as created; but if I were to only do the MG I might use two long tubes or one 4 inch tube to make the handle. Again, this set can offer versatility too!

I made the Segmented Gold magnifier using Red Oak and another wood for the end. The directions were good. The fit and finish great. Frankly it finished beautifully. The magnifier seems to be of good quality.
