The instruction sheet did not ship with the scratch awl kit. However, I simply went to the Penn State website and very quickly and easily found the pdf version for download. Great service!!

Scratch Awl Kit

Easy and fun to make. Comes together in about an hour and a half. Once done, it feels good in your hand and works quite well. No worries here about blowing out the handle like some.

Good Kit

This is a very well designed tool. If it gets dinged-up in your toolbox you can easily put it back on the lathe and dress it up. When turning the knob you can get creative. The only thing that matters is how it feels in your hand. I made my first one out of iron wood and it will be around forever.

Turned Awl

This project was very easy to turn and looks beautiful. This was a special request from my wife so I wanted to make sure it looked good. I used mahogany and it turned out great. She loves it. Now I'm getting more requests.
