The project makes the ideal desk accessory while showcasing the beautiful grain of your wood. The magnifying glass conveniently swings out providing a handy desktop magnifier and is double polished for a sharper image resolution. Overall size is 2-1/2", about 3/4" thick with a 2" magnifier with 2.5x magnification. Turn a 2-1/16" wood inlay using a #PKDCM2116 mandrel. Our 24kt gold uses a "premium rack plating" process and is covered with an exoxy coating for extreme durability. We guarantee it's beauty and durability with a lifetime guarantee.

This project is so easy and so fun that you could make a dozen in no time at all. A good double stick tape is a must for this project. One of the easiest and most rewarding projects I've made.

I have been making the compact mirrors with the 2" mandrel. I made a couple of the paper weights and I found that the same 2" wood back does not show much difference from the 2 1/16" mandrel.
