eye catcher

I am a physician and regularly use my penlight. It is an eye catcher and I have made several for gifts to my colleages. I have found it to be dependable. I would like to see less plastic on the top which I feel detracts from the elegance of the device. A bulb with a narrow light beam would be a real plus.

Great product, easy project to make. The mechanism is of good quality and works very well. Only problem I had was that a Universal milling tool won't fit properly inside the barrel (too loose)I had a tool maker to make up a sleeve that fits inside the barrel and over the milling tool shaft snugly. This solved the problem and I was able to mill the ends perfectly.

Very nice kit. Easy to make and reasonable price. My wife is a nurse and has had several penlights over the years and she really likes this one. She likes the click on/off versus holding the clip down for on. Only complaint is it is a little heavy.

Can't Keep Even One

Just a top quality kit! It was really a lot of fun to turn and assemble. The first one I made was turned using Cocobolo and turned out great. I just ordered six more kits for friends that have ask for one. Maybe this time I will be able to steal one for myself.
