Absolute garbage. I should have listened to the reviews. this is probably the weakest pen kit I have completed to date. Warning do not buy!! I wish there was an option for 0 stars, but 1 is the lowest.

I have made over 2 dozen of these pens, and they are a great hit with anyone who sees them. They can't believe I made them.

Tried two of these. Neither would work. It should have been a warning that the instructions state: "If the mechanism does not fit tight enough in the tube, you may use a dot of glue on the silver section of the mechanism to secure it in place." Parts should fit without glue. Gluing is tricky at best.

Nice classic pen kit well designed and made my customers love it but most prefer the gold over the satin.

I tried this kit years ago when I was just starting out. After several hundred pens under my belt I thought I'd try it again. Still don't like it. The twist mechanism isn't smooth and it grinds. I was dismayed at the bushings for this kit as it didn't include and tenon ring, so I was unsure how deep of a tenon to make, therefore, there wasn't enough wood for the center band. I will skip this two-piece kit in the future.

I would eliminate this kit from your stock. The mechanism is weak. Adding glue to get the mechanism to stay put in the tube is not my idea of efficiency or fun.
