Missing data in direction !?

Oddly enough, nowhere in the instructions do they mention the LENGTH of the brass tubes. You are advised, however, to cut the pen blanks 1/16" longer than the tubes. At the bottom of the second page lengths are given for the barrel trimmer sleeves. If you use those dimensions, your tubes will be LONGER than your wood blanks. The shorter tube is 1 11/16" The longer tube is 1 63/64" GOOD LUCK !!

Busing and Specifications Needed

With this pen kit and many others I have purchased, I only found out that I needed special bushings, drill bits and/or trimmer sleeves AFTER I opened the kit. I now must wait to get the specific tools needed before I can begin making the pen. Listing this as requirements on the product page would have been very helpful so I could have purchased it all at once.

Great Pen Kits

These kits are easy to assemble and look great when finished.

plastic parts

Plastic, plastic, plastic. Need to turn with a very heavy blank to give it "high end" weight. Mechanics worked good and the pen functions well. Just wish it had more metal.

Too much plastic

I like the look and style of the pen. It fit together well and operated well. But for a "high end" pen and a pen this size, there is way too much plastic.

Nice Kit -- Terrible Drill Bits

The kit itself was nice for the price. I think it would have been helpful for PSI to indicate that most of the parts are plastic. My only turn off to this kit is the quality of the PSI HSS drill bits. One bid was a 7 of 10 in sharpness while the other was a 2 of 10 AT BEST! I hate to say it, but these are "H.F. Tool" quality drill bits at best. Like the fit & finish of the kit, dislike the quality of the included drill bits.

You can"t beat the deal to try a high end kit. The kit goes together easy,looks are great. You get everything you need in one package.

I Love This Pen

This was one of the easiest kits to put together, but it is so detailed one would think it took hours. All the parts were a perfect fit and very detailed. I will be purchasing more. Thanks
