Not bad, but could be much better

The pen design itself looks good, but the materials are not as good as I would have hoped. For a "24k gold" kit, I assumed that the bands, etc would at least be plated metal. Instead, everything but the clip is plastic. This gives a very cheap feel to a pen that could, by design, look great.

Looks good, too fragile

I like the look and feel of the pen kit, particularly with figured, stabilized blanks. The problem I have is that the coupler is very fragile and tends to break upon insertion, even when being very careful. I've ruined two out of 7 pens so far and a third has slight damage.

A great pen to make

I've made this pen several times already. It is extremely easy to make, and is very popular with my customers. The bushings, and trim sleeves make it a perfect fit every time. A friend gave me Brazilian Iron Wood, which I've been using as blanks, and the results are beautiful.
