These are an excellent kit - I use them both to enhance the wood and of course to be functional. They do both. I give all my pens away and these have been some of the most popular.

Brushed satin a nice touch

All the kits were complete and assembly went smoothly. The pen cartidge writes smoothly. The brushed satin finish is a nice alternative to the typical glossy gold. My only criticism is the number of small zip lock bags holding individual pieces. I haven't found a use for these and most end up in the trash.

I really like the brushed satin plating against dark woods. It really makes these Designer pen kits stand out.
