This newly re-configured series has the same great look of our original Designer, but you now don't need a tenon to make this pen. The new configuration features a new band which replaces the tedious process of cutting a tenon to mount it on the center band.

Excellent compromise if you don't like tenons.

I'd rate this kit at about a 4.85 if I could. I like the style of the designer pens but I hate making tenons so this kit solved that problem. Finish is good quality for the price point of the kit as well. The only negatives I would say are that the center band freely rotates which may get a little annoying, and with the bushing this kit barely fits on my mandrel. However, I will be using the kit in the future and it's a winner for me.
