Availability

In terms of function, these mini-refills for the teacher's pen are reliable enough over time to have already established themselves for as much. The availabilty of a color selection for a traditonal teacher's however, can, at a minimum, include a blue ink refill, in addition to the black and red selections. But, that's just one man's opinion.

This refills are hard to find and PSI has them at a good price. They write smooth too!

Mini-Pen Refills

Given the size of the refill and that I plan to use them in the teachers pen kit, I have some concern that they may not last too long in the hands of a teacher that does a lot of writing while marking papers (my daughter, an English teacher, is testing one now). However, I have experiencd problems with the kit parts that hold the refill in place in that sometimes the refill seems to insert too far in the part so that it will not extend out of the tip when the twist mechanism is engaged. As a result, being rather new to this form of turning, I have ruined several pens by pushing the twist mechanism in too far in order to compensate for this problem. Further, this then presents the opposite problem when a replacement refill seats properly.

These were great. No skipping and smooth writing. When I make my .50 caliber bullet pens, these are the ones I choose.

Quality refills

These give good flexibility in choosing inks for teacher pens.
