Very nice mandrel

I bought this mandrel to replace the non-adjustable one I had first purchased. It is nice to be able to adjust as you need to removing the need for spacers. I still find however, that I like to set it for one size and add spacers from time to time.

Not much to say about it. It's a #1MT Mandrel that can be retracted to fit smaller stock and comes with 5 slimline 7mm bushings. Works great!

I have not used this yet but can tell from looking at it, the quality is better than others.

Does what is is supposed to do

Mandrel works like a charm. No issues with function, have tuned about twenty pens on it so far. Makes turning, sanding, and finishing a quick and easy process. If one does not abuse the mandrel by overtightening the tailstock it should last forever.

Just Get One

Not much to say about this item. It does exactly what it is supposed to. After using standard mandrels for years, I purchased this and would never go back to the others. The set up is easy, just make sure you have or purchase two 7/8 wrenches for adjustments. If you like to make several different types of pen kits, this is the only way to go. Just adjust the length of the mandrel to fit the blanks and turn. No more searching for just the right length shims to fill out the extra space.
