nice looking, but...

This pen looks great, and is a great price, but the pen design has about a 1" section of wood sticking out beyond the tube. This may not work for some woods and acrylics that need the support of being glued to the tube. The pencil has a full length tube, so I'll be using the more delicate blanks on pencils instead, or else a different kit altogether.

Looks great with or without the black finger guard. Good attention display.

Need Bushings

This is a fine pen. I really like the design and balance. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I have a personal beef with cross style ink cartridges. They don't write very well. If I make a fantastic pen I want it to write as good as it looks.

Great kit to show off wood

If you're giving a pen made out of wood, you really don't want to have hunks of plastic or metal if you can avoid it. These kits are great for putting the wood front and center. Just remember to line up the grain as you go and the finished pieces are amazing.

All Wood

This is one of my favorite pens. I like the all wood look and it really feels good in the hand. Writes and works very well.

Shows the grain well

With the long upper portion it allows a long stretch of grain to show. This makes it a good variation of the slimline/comfort/trimline kit.

Great kit, comes with comfort grip. 3 inch top piece lets you show off a good blank that you have been saving. Be sure to order the bushings for this one, and cut the top a little long...
