This attractive and functional 10" peppermill kit includes a durable brass dome and brass base. The brass dome eliminates the need to turn a wood top saving you time while creating an elegant appearance that includes a matching brass base. The kit features an infinitely adjustable ceramic grinding mechanism; easy to adjust from coarse to fine by turning the adjustment cap on the top. Requires a wood blank 9" long by 3" square.

First thing I want to say is that the kit is absolutely gorgeous when done. However some problems exist. Until the problems are fixed, This is an advanced project. The holes on the bottom brass piece need to be drilled not punched. The total project length needs changed. There are mistakes in the directions. I couldn't wait to try this item as I make dozens of salt/pepper grinders. However, after 3 blanks I have yet to get a 3" blank turned large enough for the bottom. 3" wood is just too small because most of the time one side of the blank is just under 3". The outside diameter of the brass bottom should be no more than 2 1/2 inches with the turning knob sized accordingly. Anyone trying to use 3" blanks for this project better have a lot of blanks on hand. Using 4" square blanks would work but way too expensive.
