This was a very easy pen to turn. 7/8" blanks work best if you want to leave a little room for error or turn pens for bigger hands. Absolutely everyone that looks at or picks up this pen is truly engaged. The fountain nib is awesome as well. I love that there is the option to change it from fountain to rollerball and back very easily.

I have made a number of pens from Penn State and found this pen to be very easy to make. I choose acrylic to make this and it turned out to be very nice. Instructions were simple and had no problem putting it together. I would be happy making more of these pens. the price for the kit could be a couple of dollars cheaper. I have never made a pens like this one and wanted to try it, I have never made a pens with a cap and thought it would be fun to turn.
