Click Mechanism

I recently read the reviews for this pen, and for the most part, I was pleased. I turned a California Buckeye blank, and after EEE and Shellwax, it turned out beautiful with the Gun Metal. The disappointing issue I found after assembly was, the plunger remains in the closed position. In turn, the pen can never be closed. The clip is unusually short, but it's nice because it doesn't taken any attention from the blank you choose to use. It's 'nuts' that the pen has to remain open.

I love it, but be careful not to drop it. The plastic section of the push button snaps off. I broke mine and told my son about it. The next day his dropped, oops hehehe

Vertex pen

This pen is my choice for my personal daily-use writer. It is a good seller, though many customers think it is "too huge" I keep a plain old disposable clicker (freebie from the bank) nearby to give them a comparison in size. Overall, this is not a big pen, but it gives the impression of being large. Soft-click mechanism is a big hit, too.

Nice Looking Pen, but Gun Metal Finish Wears off Quickly

The click mechanism works good, but the gun metal finish wears off in a short time (2 to 3 months average) if the person holds the pen by the nib rather than the barrel. Like most "Parker" style pens, you need to be careful not to trim the ends of the blank too short. The completed pen LOOKS nice, but many people will wear off the gun metal finsih too quickly for this pen to be a good one for selling to others.

I have ordered this pen kit with the carbon fiber blanks on three different occasions. All three sold within 3 days of making them. Awesome and very popular pens. The click action is very smooth. Great pen.

Mechanics Love Them

Got this pen for one of our mechanics at the motor pool. Although too large for the pen slot in our uniforms the hexagon style seems to be a hit. Like the length and full feel of the pen. Next time I will try the version with the magnetic cap. BOHICA
