Do not use CA glue on these! You will be lucky to get half the tube in the blank before the glue sets. If you do manage to get the whole tube in it will be rushed and not totally glued to the blank. The main reason for blowout is because only a thin veneer of wood is left on the tube after turning and if any of the wood is not glued to the tube it breaks off. Use polyurethane glue for best results and let it dry for 12 hours or so. Wet the inside of the blank first for the best cure. Anyone that is having trouble with these will find this solution gives the best results.

These are wonderful blanks! Everyone loves the pens made from them. Being smaller, I don't feel bad about wasting pretty wood when I turn them for pens. I really like the pre-drilled feature.

I was totally dis-satisfied with this pack was only able to get one pen built from a possible 5 pens and 1 set I haven't tried. Again there was blow-out on the lathe and twice while trying to square off on the drill press. Not cost effective if you're trying to sell.

The pens made with these blanks are beautiful. They sold quickly and my customers asked for more! The pens are truly unique. The wood can be a little difficult to work with, but the extra care required is well worth it.

These pen blanks make for some really unique & beautiful finished pens. The colors and the movement of the grain looks awesome after being turned. Will definItely be making more of these.
