Not up to standard

I have been very displeased with the detachable key chain. The first one was very difficult for my wife to use, and the second that I made, one of the small balls fell out the second time I detached it. Needless to say, I won't buy these again.

Seems to be a decent key chain

I ordered and made two of these. One for my wife and one for myself. After only a couple weeks one of the metal balls that hold the detachable part in fell out somewhere rendering the key chain undetachable. I called PSI and they got me a replacement part. Mine has held up without issues. As I do more of them I will be able to better gauge how they perform overall.

Great Tool for Better Sales/Gifts

I would actually give this item 4.5 stars as there is always room for improvement. I was given two of these kits as a "thank you" for teaching pen turning. I really didn't have a desire to make key rings however I realized that it was a perfect use for the scrap cut-off from my nicer burl blanks. I turned the key ring blank which created a very nice pen/key ring set. I have already set them aside for Christmas gifts. It took less than an hour to complete the key ring to include a tung oil/ca finish! The ONLY thing I would ask if it were also available in gun metal or the other pen kits finishes. Matching finishes really would make it a great fit for making sets. Very happy with the kit and to think I initially didn't think I would have much use for it!

I have made several and it is so easy I did't believe it, but you get great instructions and can evan mix your wood to make it standout.

Great little project

The key ring is a perfect project to use small scraps and cutoffs.
