"I have always loved Art Nouveau with its intensely organic lines and have incorporated it into my work for many years. One of my more popular and personal favorite pen designs is my Sceptre. When asked to design the components for Penn State Industries newest kit my first thought was to use elements from my Sceptres - the wide cap top and the rounded barrel - with some new freeform Nouveau elements for the trim. I find it interesting and relaxing to watch trees being blown by a gentle breeze, and I wanted the ribbon on the cap band to look as if it were being blown about by the wind."

This is a nice break from the Majestic Jr or Jr Retro style and looked outstanding with the black ash burl that I turned for it. It was gone within 2 hours of putting it out on display.

I picked this kit up last week, and today I finally assembled it.. it was flawless, the fit the feel the finish, all top-notch. I bought the kit, it came with trimmer sleeves, drill bits and bushings, I had no problems with any part of this project start to finish..

Great pen. Awful drill in the starter set.

The pen is very good. Finish, fit and design are excellent. Nice weight, too. The drills you include in your kits are worse than worthless, however. They don't run true, causing the hole to be significantly oversized. I use carefully selected stock for a premium pen like this, so I'd rather you didn't include a drill at all than send me a bad one. This is true for every single starter set I've gotten from you. I only order them for the bushings anymore.

I made one of the Black TN kits with a Macassar Ebony blank and it came out beautifully. This is a bigger pen and has excellent balance. Easy to make, fun to assemble, and stunning in the finished result.

Kit was purchased with a CocoBolo redish black-stripe square blank. The Broadwell Nouveau Sceptre turned out to being a classy high brow Pen that many onlookers have ordered at a premium cost. The fit & finish is exquisite.
