The pen is Inspired by the popular Over and Under combination rifle/shotgun, and will make the perfect gift for any hunter, sportsman, trap & skeet shooter or gun enthusiast. This style shotgun is a favorite for hunting a wide variety of game, from deer to game birds. The shooter can choose the barrel appropriate for the target. All facets of this pen are big and impressive reproductions of the original. They include a 12ga shotgun shell cap, a .30 caliber bullet style pen body, a shotgun clip and a large, nib on the fountain pen style. Decorate your pen with a dark blank for the cap and wood or camouflage for the body for an authentic look. Uses 2 tubes, 9/16" and 12.5mm. Features a quality refill and a rose gold nib.

This is a very substantial pen and feels very great in the hand. The components are beautiful and well made. From the previous reviews, I was concerned about "blowout" so I sharpened my tools and proceeded slowly and had no problem. The only problem was that one of the trimming sleeves was too tight to unsert into the tube until I buffed it with fine emery cloth.

I have turned 4 of these kits and have sold all of them before they hit the table. I have orders holding for more. The only problem I have is that they are turned so thin that there is an issue with blow-outs. Otherwise, fantastic pen!

I made one of these pen and they look great. Easy to assemble and write great also. Have a good feel to them.

Not a lot to say at this point. Almost have the barrels turned and they blew out. Strongly suggest that users have very sharp tools. This would have prevented the problem I had.

This is a very nice kit, I would say the weight is in line with a Majestic Jr. or a Nouvue Sceptre, very solid kit. Everything is metal accept for the threads inside the shotgun cap, they are fine thread plastic but makes for a smooth gliding surface. Pen with cap posted on the tail is top heavy. Pen without it being posted is perfect.
