Handsome looking pen

I just finished the first of these pen kits. I love the weight and balance. The tip is very well received by gun enthusiasts and military personnel. On top of that I like the extra details on the click and the rear of the pen like the stamping on the click mechanism. almost perfect kit

I really like this kit,for the most part. I do use the rose gold bullet tip for a more "real" look. The instructions were sort of accurate for assembly. The clip design works GREAT on thicker material pant/shirt pockets. I walk 8-15 miles a day at work. With this kit in my front pant pocket it would self dissasemble so I glued the cartridge case in place. The lip it fits on is too short for support without glue. The click parts work great for me. It writes well too, I'll be purchasing more.

I gave one of these pens for a Christmas gift. Everyone thought it was beautiful and I had many requests for pens. It was easy to turn and assemble. It finishes well with polish designed to use with acrylics. I used a camo blank that went well with the silver base. It is a great looking pen and I will enjoy turning more of these pens in the future.

The 30 caliber pens are the best selling pens I make. The click are more popular than twist and chrome makes a stunning finish for some materials like deer antler, ebony and bright acrylics. I bought an extra bushing set so I can turn two barrels at once.

My First Pen

Last Saturday I had my first try at pen making. I followed the directions carefully, and everything went well. I used a Rosewood Mini E-Z Pen Blank for the barrel. Turning was done with a BB 1/4" Spindle Gouge and a BB 1/2" Standard Skew. A beautiful pen!

Very nice. click mechanism works well. Airport security screening did not even give it a second look.
