frustrated

after breaking several units I found that the lower section of the pen was 3/16" short and would not let units pass causing over twisting and breakage. corrected with longer lower tube correcting problem. now must buy more to replace what I broke works good now great pen!

cheap mechanics

Had a request for one of these so I bought two, both had cheap faulty mechanics that just never worked smoothly. Good idea, but unfortunately just not well made. Only bad experience from PSI. I'll keep ordering, just not this kit again!

Great Item

This is a Great "Not Your Typical" pen and pencil. I have had a few requests for this simply due to being unusual. I recently made a couple with Deer Antler that came out beautiful. Great item.

bad pencil

This is such a great idea that I had to try one, however I am very disappointed in the mechanical pencil portion of the kit, it is basically worthless because it won't feed the lead. Unfortunately I bought several kits. This is my first bad experiance with a Penn State product.

Combo Pen 2: Twist Pen & Pencil in One

I have built a few of these, and then tried a combo pen from another supplier. Big mistake! The Penn State combo set was much easier to make, and has a wonderful look and feel to it. The kit also allows you to use the rubber finger grip, or as an option, use a second piece of wood. Will definitely buy from Penn State in the future.

I think that this product was horrible. The picture made the pen look cool fancy sleek amazing. THe only problem was that it did not work. I put it together and made it right but it still didn't work.

My daughter LOVES this pen

I made one of these pens for my daughter, and she absolutley loves it! The combination of a pen and mechanical pencil makes it easier for her to have both available as she needs them. She really loves the gold finish and the way it gleams. I was very pleased with how easy this type of pen is to make and the option of using the rubber grip or not. The pen assembly was very straight forward and I encountered no problems. I think I will be buying more of these kits in the future!

Wife loves it

I made one for my grandson and my wife liked it so much she made one for herself. Easy to assemble and looks great.
