Woman's pocket mirror kit reviewThis is a nice kit with good plating. The women that I gave these to, were very happy with them. Be careful when turning that the edge of the wood you are turning does not chip so that the edge bares some of the mandrel as the mandrel is an exact fit and the wood needs to match the mandrel size exactly in order to look good on the kit.

Better than expectedI bought two of these to make as gifts for a couple fo young teen relatives. The mirrors are much better quality than I expected and the final results are beautiful. Now their mother wants me to make one for her.

Mini Compact Gold Plated w/mirrorThe quality on this was very good. Made for an easy gift project. I turned a 2" disk from Santos Mahogany, then carved a 3 petal pansy blossom pattern into it. Before epoxying the very edge had to be slightly beveled for a perfect fit. One of the two mirrors is flat for normal viewing, the other is slightly convex to magnify.

Turned out greatI purchased 4 of these and am using my drill press to turn the backs. Pleased with the ease to make them and the many different looks with varities of woods. So far Lace Wood is my choice or ebony. Ordered 10 more so I can stuff a few stockings at Christmas.
