Twist Cap Pen Set

This is one of the very best twist cap pens sets I have ever purchased. It is head and shoulders better than similiar sets sold by competitors. The proof is in the attention to the details such as the o rings and the one piece parts coupled with the threaded components. A very fine gift for friends and family.

Very Challenging

This kit is challenging because the wood on the bottom tube is paper thin when you are done. I purchased 6 kits and experienced wood failures with 3 of them. If you make these in wood, keep your tools sharp and be very patient. The tubes don't need to be this big for the roller ball, so in that regard it is a poor design. A smaller tube would make this kit much easier to work with. I probably will not order any more of these. On the plus side, I can say that once finished the kits are very easy to assemble and they make a gorgeous looking pen. But the next time I need a rollerball I am going to look at some of the other designs.

O-rings

I do not like the O-rings on the rollerball pens. The cap is difficult to screw on and has a "cheap" feel. Without the O-rings the fit is sloppy.

Excellent pen kit!

Love these rollerball kits! They are easy to turn and easy to assemble. The finished pens are remarkable. I've received many comments on the finished pens.
