Custom 24k gold comfort twist pen

I just finished this kit as a presentation to our church pastor. I used Bethlehem Olivewood and the custom cross clip to produce a pen that was greatly appreciated. When using a custom clip, use a 7mm bushing for the pen top to accomodate the clip. To remove the original clip from the cap, I drilled a hole the same size as the cap in a block of hardwood and tapped the cap out of the clip. If the original clip and top were shipped unassembled, that would make using custom clips a little easier. Fit and finish on all the parts were excellent, everything assembled well. This is a fine inexpensive pen kit.

This pen is very easy to make, and very versatile. You can modify this to be several different styles, and if you make a mistake, the pen can probably be redesigned to a different, but perfect pen. A must-have in any penmaker's collection.

These pens are quite easy to make and look good when finished. You can use light or dark woods with equal effect.

Very nice kit and very easy to assemble. I like the size compared to the Slimline pens. They have a more comfortable feel to them. Will be making more in the future.

Comfort pen

I bought this for the rubber comfort grip but I think it detracts from the wood. It looks and feels very good without the grip.
