CEO not a quality kitThough I am not a woodworker, I do enjoy woods and, on occasion, accept a design commission. Recently I bought a few pens as gifts via eBay. The woodworker and I decided to collaborate. He sent me to Penn State for kits as I had and was still buying pen blanks. He is ready to ship my 1st 19 finished items and emailed the following: "You had asked if there were items that I did not like to work with and I found one, the CEO pen. The pieces do not fit as I would like, the black rubber coating is cheap and there was a small scratch on the very tip of it right out of the package. The ink tip would not fit into the end so I had to drill it out to make it work. Overall the kit is the cheapest one that I have ever worked with. This is the first CEO that I have done and I know that I will not be purchasing any for myself in the near future. However, the piece of milo that you chose is spectacular and the colors are excellent. I like the overall look of it but it is due to the wood, not the kit." Note: this is my 1st ever on-line review.

CEO PENTo my eye, the look of this pen is decidedly "feminine" in nature, even though its name is "CEO" - very manly. Regardless - it's a good pen. I like the mechanism. Good feel which promises reliability. Also, this is a good "wood" pen. For the most part, I don't like it with an acrylic blank. If they could keep the styling identical and make the twist mechanism so it doesn't require the clip to move it'd be a top seller.

Not as pretty as other stylesThe CEO pen is not as pretty as some of the other pen styles.

24Kt Gold CEO Twist PenThe Ceo Twist pen is a great medium sized pen. Feels great in the hand, looks great on a desk or by the phone. Great size for man or woman. Writes really well, would make a great gift for a friend or loved one.

CEO Twist PenI concur with Stephen Britt Sr (Saylorsburg, PA) on his review. I even tried to smooth the clip end to see if that stopped the scraping of the wood. Even that didn't work. Otherwise the pen has great looks only.

CEO Twist PenThis is a nice looking pen, but the clip scraps across the wood surface when you twist it. This is going to scrape the wood finish at some point. Just can't see me buying more, even as nice as they look.

poor designThe pen was easy to assemble. However, when you twist the pen, the clip moves and comes in contact with the wood surface and scratches the finished wood, creating a slight groove. This is a good pen for personal use but I don't give them as gifts or sell them.

CEO PensThese Pens are well made and when done right have a very nice heft to them. A large number of our patrons advise that they like the way that they feel when they use them. We find them to be an excellent product and can't keep enough around.

Not happy!Although this is a nice kit it does have a very big flaw. If you use soft wood, when twisting the pen, the clip will create a groove in the wood actually cutting through the finish. The only way to relieve that problem is to bend the clip out away from the body of the pen. And even that does not do away with the problem totally. Hard woods are affected the same way but not as much.
