Multi Purpose Rosewood Gift Box

But the box is very nice otherwise. The two foam inserts, one for a single pen and one for two pens is very convenient. I also like that the hinge is tight. The lid action is smooth and doesn't feel sloppy.

Very nice addition to my pens. I had a set of pens that just would not sell. Once I put them in this box they sold.

Rosewood Box

This box added a nice touch to my pen. There were as much interest in the box as the pen that I made.

General Purpose Box Not Big Enough

I purchased 2 of the general purpose boxes (not the triagular rosewood funnel box which is what the email requesting this review said) and two of the inserts for larger pens. There was some good and some bad. The good is that the boxes are very nice, appear to be well-made and finished, and the inserts fit perfectly in the box. And, as usual, very good experience with placing my order. The bad is that the boxes did not work for the advertised purpose and, in fact, resulted in an expensive last minute firedrill for me. These boxes were being used for a set of pens ordered as gifts for a wedding. I was using the boxes for a Tycoon and one other similar sized pen (the rest of the order was for smaller pens that fit in your regular rosewood pen box). When I turned the Tycoon and the similar pen I gave both barrels a slight (not excessive) bowing out as opposed to just straight - they were slightly under 3/4" plus the clip. I first ordered the "oversized" plain rosewood pen box. The slot in that box was not big enough. I barely had time to order the general purpose box and inserts without expedited shipping - they arrived on a Tue where I needed to deliver the order on the next day - but they also would not hold the pens as advertised. The lid would not quite go flat with the pen inside. I then had to order 2 more pen boxes from a different supplier and had to pay almost $30 to get them overnighted. So, nice boxes, but neither they nor the standard "oversized" box work for what they are advertised to do and caused me to spend about $60 for boxes/inserts I can't use and 2 rounds of regular shipping and 1 expedited shipping. If these boxes were 1/8" deeper, I would be completely satisfied. The oversized boxes would also be perfectly fine if they in fact could hold an oversized pen. As it stands, however, I have no real choice but to order boxes from a different supplier for larger pens, which is a real shame.

Great item

This was a suprise for me. I didn't think it would be any where near this nice for money.
