Transmission issues?

I have made three of these pens. Two of the kits had bad transmissions (the threads in the transmission were bad and they would not hold). PSI still has not replaced the parts (I've been waiting for two weeks). I ended up using transmissions from other kits. The look of this kit is awesome! It goes with almost any wood or acrylic blank. A beautiful and versitile kit.

Great Pen

I love this pen. I used the Premium Stabilized Redwood Lace Burl and it came out great. It actually looks like a cigar.

Big Ben pen review

I've been making pens for 10+ years, and this one is certainly worth the money. The cheaper pens are nice gifts, but this one is really special. I made one for myself and use it daily, it works great, and most importantly, keeps it's nice look over time. Highly recommended for the turner who wants to make something that really stands out.

Love this pen

I turned the carbon fiber pen blank (see review) for this Big Ben. I get nothing but compliments. Great weight and feel. I will be ordering more.

It's not a Cuban, but...

My customer obviously has good taste in pens and cigars. I made this pen kit with the dark gray micca acrylic. When I finished it and looked at it under my shop light it was like I was looking at a moving 3D picture of gray smoke against a black background. I told my customer it's name was "Old Smokey." He loved it!

The weak hand pen

Pen design is excellent for oversizing the turning to create a large pen useful for people with grip problems.

Platinum and Carbon Fiber...

This kit looks great with the carbon fiber blank. As always, easy to assemble, and classy looking finish.

platinum pen review

I really like this pen! It's a "Big Ben" style with the heft and feel that many folks want. In addition, the mechanism is smooth and precise. And the finish really sets off a darker wood like ebony or wenge. My only beef is that it is advertised as being platinum while it is actually rhodium plated (the disclaimer is that rhodium is in the platinum family - which it is). Doesn't matter, though - this is a great pen kit!
