Bought and watched this DVD before I turned my fist acrylic pen and glad I did, it has very helpful info and i'm sure it has helped me avoid some common mistakes. It's also a good ideal to have a pen and paper to take some notes while your watching the DVD

I have been turning wooden pens for several years. I want to expand my abilities. This DVD has given me the needed basics to allow me to begin turning acrylics. Barry's instructions are clear and he follows through by showing exactly how to do each step.

If you are thinking of turning pens using acrylic blanks, you should get this DVD. He provides a lot of excellent advice and tips on working with this material. Watching Barry turn the material shows you what to expect in terms of the shavings and rate of removal. The section on finishing and polishing is worth the price alone! I have learned a lot by watching this DVD, and it has helped me avoid (or recover from) a lot of mistakes.

If you are new to turning acrylic, this dvd is for you. Good information on types, selection and process. Includes tips, repairs and finishing. Barry Gross shows you how it's done.
