Penn State Industries is proud to
team up again with accomplished pen designer David Broadwell to bring
you this equisitely original Art Deco Gold T/N & Black
T/N Ballpoint Pen Kit. Art Deco was an opulent and lavish art
form that spanned the
1920's and 1930's. The
art form
influenced architecture, industrial design, interior design, fashion,
and film
of the period.
David
on his Art Deco Pen Design:
"I have been fascinated with the Art Deco movement for
many years, especially the architecture. Tall skyscrapers with
geometric lines
are awe inspiring! The city hall in Los Angeles, the Empire State
Building, the
Boston Ave. Methodist Church in Tulsa, the Texas & Pacific RR
terminal in
Ft. Worth, and the ultimate expression of Art Deco architecture, the
Chrysler
Building! I enjoy the challenge of putting these architectural elements
onto
pens, and hope you enjoy creating pens around these components."

Great Design - Poor FinishLove the design - however - purchased two in one order; the black plating on one was darker than the other and one had to be exchanged. Will stay with basic chrome & gold

Looks like it is worth more. This pen has a nice feel both in the mechanism and the weight. When you are done it is something to be admired. It looks and feels like a much more expensive pen than it is. I have tried other similiar pens from other sources, but this just seems better.

Broadwell Art DecoI have to say, this is one of the nicer ball point pens I have purchased, problem is no one even picks them up to check em out. Big disappointment. So I would say that if you want a great ballpoint pen this is it. Your sales may vary.

Broadwell Art DecoMakes a fine looking pen, looks elegant. Make sure when you are putting the pen together that all the parts line up. The decorated point on the center band either needs to line up with the pen clip or placed 180 degrees opposite the clip. Please learn from my mistake, I was in a hurry to put the pen together and missed the alignment only slightly.

Broadwell Art DecoLiked this pen very much. First time I tried the Broadwell series pens. A fine quality pen.

Art DecoGreat kit

Upmarket pen /budget pricingI recently tried the new Broadwell art Deco, I sell at local craft markets and this one went to the first customer who saw it ,it was amongst some Majestic Squires and Divas ,all nice but this stood out. It was an easy kit to work with one turning part and feels good in the hand feels good and looks good ,some comments I had from fellow turners was a touch gaudy (flash) but overall was well recieved :) I am happy with this product and will get more as needed

Beautiful BroadwellThis was my first Broadwell kit and it came out beautifully. The fit and finish is perfect and the design - unique and eye catching. It will not be my last.

Beyond ExpectationsI just finished turning 2 of these using olive wood. The result is striking and the kit is, by far, one of the best I have experienced with Penn State. The mechanism is solid and smooth along with impressive weight and balance. I trust you will be as satisfied as I am.

Lovely PenThis pen is lovely and feels heavy duty.
