I had great luck with the Apollo Infinity Gold Titanium pens. The only thing I did to help their appearance is to trim the plastic "lip" off the bottom of the upper half. I turned one with Bethlehem Olive wood and sold it to the second person to look at it, at the highest price I've ever gotten for a pen. I didn't have problems with pressing them together gently. I plan to buy more on my next order.

One cheap part ruins a nice pen

A nice pen to look at, but the cheap plastic insert on the upper barrel does it in. It (the insert) deforms every time you try to press it. Would not matter if I were to keep them, but would not want to sell or give to friends.

Apollo Pen doesn't stand out!

Not impressed with this pen. Just seems to be to gaudy. Weight isn't impressive. For a few dollars more, your better off with the Majestic JR.
