Great pen kit and valueThis is a great pen and the kit is a great value. Pen is heavy and you do not have to trim the end of the wood down to the brass tube to fit the center ring around.

Parts sent for pen POOR QUALITYThe parts supplied for the trimmer insert wouldn't work until I put them in my lathe and turned them down to the proper size to fit. If you don't have what you need to alter this I wouldn't order again.

Plastic threadsPen went together well, but the threads on the cap and the pen portion are plastic. Doesn't want to seat consistantly. I turned a trustone and a lace wood for this pen. Needs a heavy blank to give it feel..

Poor fit.Barrel trimming sleeves did not fit the barrels. Very tight requiring driving in and out with a punch. Soon grew tired of this and sanded the sleeves to a slip fit. Kit said Apollo Infinity but the bushings said Apollo Elite. I thought all Apollos took the same bushings. The rest of the kit worked fine and seeing it was free I still came out ahead.

Nice kit-my observationsNice pen and the whole kit with bits and bushings included is a good value. It produces a very heavy pen when turned with an acrylic blank. I have only been turning pens for a year and a half and came across a few things I have not run into before. Because of the large tubes, using the barrel trimming bushings were required to trim the ends of the blanks. But excess epoxy that gets into the tube does not get cleared out when trimming. I should have suspected something amiss when the trimming bushings were difficult to insert. I found that when pressing in the black plastic insert the epoxy would restrict and slightly skew the insert and the brass tube would shave a sliver of plastic from the insert. Pushed out the insert, trimmed it, cleaned the epoxy from the tube and CA glued the plastic insert back into the tube. Just a heads up. I agree with the previous reviewer that it would not be difficult to cross thread the cap. It does create an impressive pen if in size alone.

Great Starter KitWhat a great intro into the higher end pens. Beautiful pen and hardware. After using this starter kit I am more confident in moving into other high end pen kits. Highly recommend.

Apollo Infinity Pen KitNice pen, it was easy to turn and assemble.

Great DesignI really like the details and sheen of this pen. It really catches the eye. However, it's a little big for my taste in terms of diameter. Also, with a 3/4" blank there's not a lot of wood left after lathing to give it more detail.

Very interesting style Rollerball PenEasy to assemble. All parts matched well and made a beautiful art form writing instrument. Clients were amazed with the beauty of the Cocobolo wood used with the hardware. I could not find anything I didn't like about this kit and I will surely recommend the Apollo Infinity to all my fellow Pen turners.

The Apollo is and excellent penThis is the second high end pen that I've made and the kit is absolutely excellent. All the components fit well, the gel rollerball is great to write with, and it was a huge hit. The accessories for free was also a great deal.
