I have made fan pulls of walnut and spalted maple for all my fans in my Florida winter home. The kits worked great and the pulls look pretty good even if I did turn them.

I really like these, there is a trick to pushing them together so the chain does not break but once I figured it out it works well and they are so nice looking on a fan.
