Cuts clean. Straighter than original bit that came with pen turning set.

This bit cuts adequately but there are others on the market for much heftier prices that will do a better job. For basic pen making the price and quality are good.

This carbide tip drill bit cut cleaner and easier than the standard bit I had been using. The hole walls appeared to be smoother than I was accustomed to also. It also seemed to move the chips out of the hole easier and not bind them up.
