This connector is much stronger than the economy draw band connector. I have both in my dust collection system, and each works well. This premium unit is best used where the weight of the pipes et.al. create the need for a solid, weight bearing connection. Great product line with excellent customer service. Ask for technician "Bill" for the best in product recommendations.
