With all the saws in my shop I put off buying one of these for quite a while. Now that I have one I wish I would have got it sooner. It is so much handier than using the big table saw or the hand mitre box. You won't regret having this saw and it doesn't take up much room.

This saw has already come in handy for model building. The one complaint I have is that the saw vibrates quite a bit. You must learn to compensate for this, and the accuracy lost to the vibration will come with practice.

PROS: -small size -reasonable price -possibly safer than larger saws CONS: -bogs down very easily -won't cut thru 3/4" thickness -poor fence (guide) -safety shield can get in the way -on/off switch a little difficult to get to if saw is at table height & user is standing

the machine is good for small pieces but it binds easily and has very little power to get all the way through the wood

It's great for small jobs like pen turning blanks or boxes etc. I made a guide which it lacked. It's even more useful now. It would be nice if the blade were larger so I could cut my 3/4 inch blanks with out turning them over to finish the cut. I like it. Worth the cost.
