Use this handy Digital Lathe Tachometer to easily and instantly measure your lathe's RPM. The tachometer measures the rotational speed with a visible red light beam from a powerful LED. Measures RPM from 0 to 99,000 RPM. To take the measurement, apply a reflective mark (included in package) onto a spinning part of the lathe, aim the laser beam at the mark, the RPM then displays on the LCD screen. Powered by three " AA" batteries (not included).

Its the best my drill press using finding the right speed on my big forstner bits. I used it on my old lathe to figure out what speeds it was running at.
